There was a wonderful photo of the recently born Sichuan Takin calf and its mother in a recent edition of The Forum. Unfortunately, The Forum did not run the same photo in the on-line version of the paper, where many more people from outside of the Fargo/Moorhead area could see it. We couldn't forward it to friends and relatives who would be interested in an endangered animal.
Also, the zoo itself was not mentioned in the interview with Cole Carley, the CEO of the Fargo-Moorhead Convention & Visitors Bureau. I find this hard to understand. Isn't the zoo a major attraction in Fargo?
Fargo wants to promote tourism, and the Red River Zoo attracts thousands each year because of the rare species of animals it houses. It seems to me you are missing a good bet by failing to promote the zoo and Fargo/Moorhead.
