Hats off to the patrons of the West Fargo Public Library who met recently at West Fargo City Hall to organize Friends of the West Fargo Public Library.
Because we are the officers of the Friends of the Fargo Public Library, an organization that was founded in March of 1995, we were invited to attend that meeting to share ideas that have worked for us in Fargo. What an outstanding group of supporters they had at their brainstorming session. We came away from that event feeling confident that they would be off to a good start.
Since that meeting, they have met again, elected officers for the first year, and set a time for regular monthly meetings. Now they need community support. If you are a patron of the West Fargo Public Library and would like to show your support for the library and Friends of the West Fargo Public Library, please contact the library at 282-0415 to get more information.
We wish them success in this venture and hope that they will be fortunate enough to find the wonderful base of supporters that we have gathered over the years in Fargo which has enabled us to provide volunteer and financial support for library projects.
