I would like to know why the Fargo taxpayers are going to have to pay for the relocation of the residents of Oak Manor Trailer Park. The relocations will benefit a private organization which should pay for the relocation.
The city says they will recoup the expenses through higher taxes from the Oak Manor property, but since the city will also forgive taxes on the new property for a number of years, it will probably take longer than most of the present day taxpayers will be around. It seems that Fargo taxpayers are getting stuck for everything these days.
I guess that is the reason the real estate taxes in Fargo are some of the highest in the United States.
