This season marks the 30th year the Red River Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society is presenting free noon Christmas concerts at the historic Fargo Theatre.
The Mighty Wurlitzer theater pipe organ was rescued by the organ society in 1973 and since that time has been played as prologue to weekend film showings. With its enlargements, it is now the largest theater pipe organ between Chicago and the West Coast.
On Monday the series kicks off with organist Tyler Engberg, and attendees are asked to bring one nonperishable food item for the food bank.
The organ society wants to thank all who have attended in the past and donated food and hopes to see many again this year. The first ever CD recording will also go on sale.
