The Forum's decision to run a "Coming out stronger" series as front-page headline news is most disappointing. I have no more interest in a person's sexual orientation than I do in whether a person is right-handed or left-handed. Reporting on these issues belongs in a lifestyles segment or human interest section.
I look to the front page of The Forum for hard news, and to read on page A3 of the same section an AP story of a mass grave found in Baghdad and an article on A8 of possible changes in graduation requirements leaves me wondering what standard The Forum uses to determine what is newsworthy.
