Hulett: Metro area 'flooded' with Chinese-Mexican fentanyl

InForum columnist Mike Hulett shares his thoughts on fentanyl in the metro area, racist taunting at high school sporting events and the Gordon Kahl story.

The Forum: “Local cops seized enough fentanyl last year to kill almost all of West Fargo." Fargo-Moorhead has been caught up in a nationwide flood of fentanyl.

The “flood of fentanyl” is produced by terrorist Mexican cartels using lethal ingredients supplied by Communist China. Mexican-Chinese drug gangs distribute the killer pills throughout the United States, including the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area.

Fargo-Moorhead has been caught up in a nationwide flood of fentanyl, a powerful opioid drug that's killing people across the U.S.

Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski said: “This problem is continuing and it’s growing exponentially and, to be honest with you, I don't think enough people are talking about it.”

Readers, the people that should be “talking about it” are your United States Representatives and Senators. They hold the power to impeach and remove the enabling parties, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Having spent significant time with Border Patrol agents on the Mexican border, I previously detailed the ghastly Biden-Harris open border policy that enables these terrorists to traffic both killer drugs and sex slaves into America virtually at will. Adding insult to injury, the Chinese Communists just flew an “in-your-face” spy balloon, totally unimpeded, across multiple sensitive American defense sites, arrogantly demonstrating how they own Biden.

Biden and Harris have enabled hundreds of thousands of American fentanyl deaths and countless disgraceful sex-slave rapes. Beyond question, they are committing Constitutional “high crimes.” Congress must impeach, convict and removed them from office.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy, upon taking office as President, should order the quick and efficient destruction of all Mexican cartel operations within the U.S. and Mexico. These are terrorists! They are killing thousands of Americans!

Zero tolerance for ignorant racial slurs and taunting

Ignorant children are shouting racial slurs at North Dakota athletic events. Where are their parents, or is that where they learned this racist stuff? That kind of illiterate conduct is absolutely not representative of the solid people of our region. Zero-tolerance and swift discipline are the only options.

Parents of Bismarck High School basketball players said no action was taken when the Jamestown student section acted out during the Jan. 31 game.

The Gordon Kahl story briefly came to Moorhead

Contributing columnist Jim Shaw did a fine job of chronicling the multiple chapters of the Gordon Kahl story. I recently related to Jim a little-known sub-chapter that briefly brought Moorhead into the picture.

The murder trial of Gordon’s son, Yorie Kahl, began in Fargo Federal Court on May 12, 1983. Yorie was being held in the Clay County Jail due to security concerns in Fargo. Federal Marshals provided law enforcement with intelligence data indicating Posse Comitatus, perhaps including Gordon Kahl himself, was planning to attack the jail with a wide array of weapons.

Watch, listen and read exclusive reporting 40 years in the making as Forum Communications Columnist Jim Shaw looks back at the infamous Medina, North Dakota, shootout and tells where it stands today.

Clay County and Moorhead law enforcement officers formed a perimeter. They were greatly concerned about the level of force allegedly threatened by Posse Comitatus. Officers with long guns stood watch in a variety of locations including the roof of the Court House. I stood post in an empty house across from the jail with other Moorhead/Clay County peace officers. We were obviously relieved when no jailbreak was attempted.

A few days later, Gordon Kahl was killed by a bullet to the head in an exchange of gunfire with the county sheriff in Smithville, Arkansas.
