President Joe Biden’s 2023 State of the Union speech accurately reflected his capabilities and character. It was occasionally off-topic, sometimes unintelligible and sprinkled with some fabrications. Joe even fell back on his goofy “that’s not a joke, Jack” rhetoric while conveniently dodging topics of grave concern to most Americans.
Following Joe’s dismal effort, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders addressed a deeply concerned nation. She brilliantly summed up the actual state of the union by opening with: “From out-of-control inflation and violent crime to the dangerous border crisis and threat from China, Biden and the Democrats have failed you. They know it. And you know it. It’s time for a change.”
Reminiscent of Ronald Reagan, she reminded us that the federal government was designed to serve and protect the people and not rule and control them like Biden and his authoritarian Democrats. The flawed core of Biden’s progressive regime was well-defined by Sanders when she pointed out our families are burdened with high gas and grocery prices while many children are maliciously being taught to hate one another on account of their race.
Sanders stated what has become obvious, even to many Democrats: “The dividing line in America is no longer between right or left. The choice is between normal or crazy. President Biden inherited the fastest economic recovery on record, the most secure border in history, cheap abundant homegrown energy, fast-rising wages, a rebuilt military and a world that was stable and at peace. But over the last two years, Democrats destroyed it all.”
Where have we observed this before? Swindlers arrive at the palace of an emperor who spent lavishly on clothing at the expense of state matters. Posing as weavers, they offer to weave him a magnificent suit that will be invisible to those who are stupid or incompetent. The emperor hires them and they set up their looms. A succession of officials, and then the emperor himself, visits them to check their progress. Each sees that the looms are empty but pretends otherwise to avoid being thought a fool.

Finally, the weavers report that the emperor's suit is ready. They mime dressing him and he sets off in a procession before the whole city. The townsfolk uncomfortably go along with the pretense, not wanting to appear inept or stupid, until a child blurts out “the emperor has no clothes!” The people realize that everyone has been fooled. Although startled, the emperor continues the procession, walking more proudly than ever.
Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale lives on! Progressive swindlers, posing as reasonable Democrat policy-makers, weave Biden’s transparently authoritarian policies at the expense of state matters. Not wanting to appear inept or stupid, mainstream Democrat media sources eagerly oblige the pretense. Common sense Americans — liberal, conservative, independent — acknowledging the wisdom of outstanding new leaders like Sanders, are blurting out: “The President has crazy policies! Everyone has been fooled!”
Although startled, Biden continues his foolish procession, walking more proudly than ever.
