Jackie Hassett has characterized this as her choosing to voluntarily leave the university.
According to public records from Clark County, Nevada, Roberta and Jackie were married on May 12, 2019, during a time when Jackie, still employed by UND at the time, was under a management plan, created and agreed to in January of that year, which prohibited further contact with Roberta.
That management plan was cited in the documentation from UND related to Jackie Hassett's departure.
Hassett didn't immediately respond to a phone call seeking comment.
Amber Flynn, the president of the Grand Forks School Board, said she wasn't aware of Hassett's conviction and had no comment.
