Brian Kalk has announced his intention to seek his party's endorsement for the North Dakota Public Service Commission. He is going around the state to meet the voters and tell them about himself and his vision for the future.
Kalk has a Ph.D. in natural resources management and is a professor at North Dakota State University. Additionally, Kalk recently retired from the Marine Corps as a major. What many do not know is that he entered the Marines as an enlisted man, earned his degree while on active duty and received a commission. Gaining a commission under those circumstances speaks well of him.
He knows the issues and he knows how to make decisions. Kalk will not need a tutorial on the complex challenges North Dakota faces in the future. He is one candidate who is very prepared for the office he is seeking.
