I'm curious why The Forum printed such a nice article about the attorney generals' opinion concerning the zoo funding by the Fargo Park Board? I read the opinion before the article came out and couldn't disagree more with the reporter's spin -- that it was good for the Fargo commissioners who are violating the law.
According to the AGs' opinion, the commissioners are currently in violation of the North Dakota Century Code and the commissioners could be held personally responsible for the money the commissioners are spending to pay the bills for the zoo. It's well over $100,000 and climbing.
What the AG didn't tell us is, when will the AG be filing a lawsuit to recover the money that the commissioners have already spent on the zoo.
