Consider this:
E President Bush took us into a war that, while future historians will more accurately judge its efficacy, was almost certainly ill advised;
E Iraq may very well be worse off today than under Saddam Hussein. Having him in the can, so to speak, is arguably not worth the almost 1,100 young American and thousands of innocent Iraqi lives the war has cost thus far, with no end in sight.
E President Bush has squandered a significant budget surplus and turned it into a monumental deficit which your and my children and grandchildren will still be paying off;
E At a time of almost unprecedented spending, the president has engineered several tax cuts, most of which has gone to the well-heeled;

E An economy and stock market which charitably are sluggish;
E World opinion of the United States and its policies are probably at an all time low.
E Throw in a whole litany of other issues: Energy, environment, historically high fuel prices, merging (if not the gradual obliteration) of separation of church and state, and you will find George Bush on the wrong side.
But never mind. The Forum thinks the president has earned another four years in office. Go figure.
