Some of the most basic teachings and tenets of Christianity have been attacked by the mythical book and more recently released movie, "The Da Vinci Code." The attack has been decreed by religious scholars worldwide as everything from "just plain error sold as truth" all the way to outright "blasphemy." Christian churches and their pastors were quick to defend their greatest leader, Jesus Christ.

There is something worthy of note that is more important than the fact they have defended their beliefs; and that is the method used in defending those beliefs. When the mythical book and money-making movie were released, they were not followed by weeks of violence. There were not threats of beheadings, no car bombings, no theaters burned, no did the actors have to go into hiding for their safety.

Christianity survived these vicious attacks by doing what Christianity does best. It survived and continues to thrive by demonstrating the teachings of its greatest leader, Jesus Christ.

The Da Vinci Code set out to expose Christianity as a fraud and ended up proving it as genuine. It set out to expose mythical holes in its teachings and ended up highlighting its greatest strengths.
