We offer a heartfelt measure of appreciation to the many volunteers, churches and other organizations that are serving holiday dinners today for people in the Red River Valley who might be without families or homes.
The meaning of the holiday is affirmed by their efforts. People who otherwise might never meet, today have the opportunity to dine together, tell their stories and share in the real meaning of Thanksgiving. Extending a hand of hospitality and preparing a holiday meal serves the community's better interests.
