I am writing in support of Joe Satrom and his commitment to education in North Dakota. I believe that The Forum unfairly criticized him in a childish editorial (July 16) by misunderstanding a statement he had made.
There is no one more committed to the future of this state and the future of education in this state than Satrom. The leadership of the current governor is what Satrom had questioned - not the quality of the educational system. I read the statement on his Web site and did not interpret it the same way The Forum did. People should read the whole statement for themselves at www.satrom.com .
Gov. John Hoeven has been a caretaker and we need a leader. That's why I will be voting for Satrom this year as will a lot of others. I also think there are many more who don't know enough about him yet.
I hope everyone takes a little time to inform themselves and make an educated choice in November.
