Jody Wessel, Grey Eagle, Letter: Bison fans need not misbehave at game

Last year I had the honor to attend the Bison-Gopher football game. Words aren't enough to describe the incredible game we saw played. Despite the last-minute loss, I was still very proud to be a North Dakota Bison fan.

Last year I had the honor to attend the Bison-Gopher football game. Words aren't enough to describe the incredible game we saw played. Despite the last-minute loss, I was still very proud to be a North Dakota Bison fan.

The day was marred only by a fellow Bison follower. Upon trying to leave the parking lot, this fellow North Dakotan pinned us in our spot. He was well aware of his actions and actually grinned at our vehicle when we attempted to pull out. Had he not been so intent on trapping us, he could have looked in his rear-view mirror and seen another exit from the parking lot. Instead, he sat in line for another 15 minutes. Once he was beyond us, the next car let us back out. We scooted to the other exit and made it off the lot while he was still on the bumper of the car in front of him. The car that let us out turned around and followed us. As did the rest of the vehicles behind them.

Please remember "Minnesota nice" does exist, but those of us with North Dakota roots are nicer. Driving in Minneapolis doesn't mean being aggressive. Take turns, and allow at least one car to cut in front of you. Please show the same sportsmanship our boys are expected to show on the field.

Let's have some fun, and show Minnesota the Bison have arrived. Go Bison!
