Why are we in such a hurry for our kids to grow up? It's such a tough world out there.
When they are born we buy pink and blue everything. Cuddle, kiss and hug, never want anything bad to come to them. Then our babies turn into little kids, and we celebrate by buying them toy guns and weapons for their birthdays. Kill the bad guys and save the good. What are we teaching our children? We will keep you safe, but when you are no longer an infant, you are allowed to shoot and kill the bad guys. They grow up thinking that is normal.
Can't we let our kids be kids and let them play with nonviolent toys? Why are we in such a hurry for our babies to grow up? They are little for such a short time.
Look at all the school shootings and the troubled kids who shot their friends. What are we teaching our children? It's okay to shoot the bad guys.
