On behalf of the Board of Directors for Directors of Volunteer Services, I would like to thank The Forum for publishing the article on Ethyl Hammer regarding the Golden DOVS Award she received on March 29. Hammer won the award in the over 55 category. This was the second annual Golden DOVS Awards Event.
There were five other categories that won awards at this event as well. The following recipients who received awards in the categories listed: Junior Volunteer (ages 11 - 17) Leah Lorenz, Charism Community Center; Young Adult (ages 18 - 25) Lisa Cossette, FirstLink Hotline; Adult (ages 25 - 55) Julie Campbell, Charism Community Center; Family, Ron and Sheila Rector, Christine, Mason, Katiie and Lisa, Campfire USA Northern Star; and Group, Moorhead High School S.A.V.E. for their work with Rape and Abuse Crisis Center.
As you can see, we have many wonderful people volunteering in our community. Thank you for supporting volunteers.
