The continued support on The Forum editorial pages for the Samuel Alito confirmation saddens me for the residents of this community. Not only will Alito's confirmation continue the disenfranchisement of the middle class and poor, but give more power to corporations that continue to show their influence on our Supreme Court by restricting our rights (witness the recent eminent domain decision).
The confirmation of Alito will provide a legacy to the cronyism and illegal spying this administration so willingly propagates.
I urge the senators of our respective states to represent the best interest of their constituents and vote against the Alito confirmation.
