Only in America! If an American wants to kill ducks, it is against the law to have more than three shells in the gun's magazine. But if an American wants to kill people, it is legal to have 50 shells in the gun's magazine clip.

When the Second Amendment was adopted on Dec. 15, 1791, Americans typically only had single-shot muzzle loading guns available to them.

One solution to consider would be to pass a law that would make it a felony to manufacture or sell a magazine clip with more than a three-shell capacity. Also, consider making it a felony for anyone to own or possess more than one three-shell capacity magazine clip for each type of gun.

Give the American people a fair chance to live. Extend the same courtesy to our people that we already have for our ducks. The proposed new laws would not take away anyone's guns, including mine.
