It seems as though America is becoming a more lawless nation. One example was the protests of the Dakota Access Pipeline. The protestors and rioters seemed to have greater control of the situation than the police.
The police were the underdogs, and at times seemed to be in great danger. To their credit the police and deputies did enforce the law as best they could.
Unfortunately many other civil and legal authorities in this nation seem to be doing everything they can to undermine existing law and the Constitution itself.
This situation started at the top with President Obama. Many legal scholars, including some liberals, decried Obama's blatant disregard for the Constitution.
Now we have judges who rule with no regard to the Constitution or to written law at all. We have mayors, sheriffs and police chiefs all over the country who blatantly act to subvert federal immigration law.

No one knows what our intelligence agencies are doing. Down the road, could anyone be a victim of governmental extortion?
All Democrat senators, including Sen. Heitkamp will vote against confirming Judge Gorsuch, because he won't promise to "not" follow the Constitution.
If many of our leaders don't even attempt to follow the law and sometimes work to subvert it, why shouldn't the rest of us do the same? Maybe that's why so many people on the left riot and physically attack those they disagree with; they've been inspired by their leaders.
If Democrats and their left wing supporters do succeed in destroying the rule of law in this nation, we will all suffer the consequences.
