I am writing this letter today as I am beside myself with Sen. Al Franken's resignation. I realize in today's climate everyone wants to be on the "correct side" of the sexual harassment issue.

However, it bothers me that the voters supposed got to decide in the case of Donald Trump and we are letting the voters "decide" in the Senate race for Roy Moore. The allegations against them are much more ironclad, and yet the voters get to decide.

In the case of Franken, I was disappointed in him when I read the allegations. But here's the problem, one could argue he has posed for possibly thousands of photos. He was an entertainer prior, and now a senator. If he were a serial groper, wouldn't you think there would be at least dozens if not hundreds or even thousands of accusations against him? I don't think the ladies are lying, but could they have misconstrued what was happening.

We will never know because he was pressured into resigning before we were able to find out. If he had broken the law that would be one thing; he should go. But if he didn't, he is simply guilty of the same thing that probably a majority of the men in this country have done in their lifetimes, at least once.

We are measuring sexual harassment dramatically different than we did even six months ago. If this is a case, where the democrats have simply made him a sacrificial lamb so that they can claim purity, well, they have a lot of other things to work on as well before they can claim that.
