I have a very different take on the March 25th Boy Scouts food drive than Virginia Ellenson's negative letter to the editor published March 30th.
Every year, I make an effort to support these future leaders in their endeavors to do good in the community. When I heard the pitter patter of feet and little voices near my front door, I looked out the window to hear the kids exclaiming how happy they were that someone had left groceries for them. They were exuberant in their efforts.
These sweet little spirits know the value of sharing their time for those less fortunate. I hope no one reads them the negative letter from Ellenson. Painting a whole group of people negatively as Ellenson did based on a limited experience that was more than likely a human error is what is wrong with the country. What is right with this country is what happened at my doorstep that morning.
