What do I remember about the 60's? So many things: High school, Shanley and Moorhead Senior High; my band, The Treasures; and on the list can go on.

Among the top is draggin' Broadway. For years Fargo worked at destroying the tradition. We really never broke any laws. The businesses never really complained. Even the police sort of stood around for a periodic problem. We drove up and down Broadway, to the railroad tracks where we turned around in the parking lot, and down to Island Park where we turned around. We did it again for a couple of hours.

Of course there were the stunts, but no one was hurt. We just had fun. Fargo tried tricks including changing the street layout and just making it illegal. Now they are going to have "Cars and Coffee." How boring. Time for a good old protest. Let's drag Broadway again!
