There is a lot of news these days of men behaving badly. Many of them serious cases of men in positions of power, including members of Congress, using that power with vulnerable girls and women.
One of the most disgusting involves a 32-year-old district attorney pursuing teenage girls. With that background, I was a little surprised that Bill Christian (story published Nov. 15) was reprimanded for referring to a woman as pretty and smart. It's probably not the best time or place to say this, but a warning or reprimand?
Maybe it's a generational thing, but I know some women who would consider this a compliment. This may be going a little too far and undermines the seriousness of the other offenses.
