I believe our former president, John F. Kennedy, would turn over in his grave if he knew about the Socialist takeover of the Democratic Party. Remember, it was he who said, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do with your country." This is opposite of the mantra of the Democratic Socialists of today.
If you're an old-time Democrat, I urge you to reexamine your political stance. Your party has left you. It is no longer the party of Kennedy, whose politics closely resembled those of Ronald Reagan. Both were anti-Communist/Socialist and pro-capital gains tax cut and pro-balanced budget. Again, the opposite of today's Democrats.
I remind you of the famous quote by former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher: "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of someone else's money." It will eventually bankrupt a nation and destroy the very lives the Socialists purport to be helping. It depends on coercion, taking from the productive members of society. Those who create wealth will usually leave, making the society worse off. Just look at Venezuela with its mass starvation, human rights abuses and shortage of resources - results of years of Socialist corruption.
