The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce supports President John Richman’s leadership at the North Dakota State College of Science and the Cass County Workforce Academy. Our chamber has over 2,100 businesses as members, representing more than 109,000 people, making it the largest local chamber in North Dakota and Minnesota.
The Chamber and its members have witnessed first-hand for years the dedication, passion and respect Richman shows toward NDSCS, the staff, the students and the community. It would be hard to find another person who embodies all of the characteristics possessed by Richman.
Richman has always been extremely helpful and even more attentive to the demands of his students and of the community. It is disturbing to hear of the negative press Richman has received. From our perspective, he shows nothing but humility and compassion to those around him. He is a dedicated and selfless leader who holds others above himself. His authenticity and integrity have served as exemplary traits throughout his continued tenure as president of NDSCS.
North Dakota is currently facing a workforce shortage with more than 15,000 jobs open across the state and more than 4,400 open within Cass County alone. Richman has always been at the forefront of creating proactive and responsible solutions to address the workforce demands of North Dakota and his leadership has moved NDSCS forward. The Cass County Workforce Academy is a great way for NDSCS to deliver on its mission and work to train even more individuals who are prepared to fill the needs of the region. There is no better person, or leader, to continue to address this critical issue than Richman.
