I was very fortunate to have known Neal Holland, a former North Dakota State University professor and owner and operator of Sheyenne Gardens, and garnered many great tips from the incredible volume of plant knowledge that he housed in his brain. He so loved to teach and was a good, good human.
I am thankful to have worked at Sheyenne Gardens this past spring and hope for many more springs to come. Adam has been Neal’s mentee and general manager for many years. I’m thankful, too, that Adam can carry on Neal’s legacy. We in this community are very fortunate that Neal groomed this fine, intelligent, and cordial young man to follow in his foot-steps. Thank you, Neal! And thank you all at Sheyenne Gardens, we will always have memories of Neal and his creations to keep us going for years, in our hearts and in our gardens!
