The kick-off event for Memory Café of the Red River Valley was a resounding success last week due to the heart-warming contributions from our friends, family and community sponsors.
Thank you to our sponsors: Dakota Medical Foundation, Fargo Cass Public Health, Solberg Design/Branding, Ameripride Linens, Gate City Bank, Hornbacher's, Fritzman IT, Sir Speedy Printing, Karen Bakke Art and Design, and Vintage Poppy; our door prize donors: ND Nail Spa, Great Harvest Bread, Fryin' Pan, Moorhead Ace Hardware, and the "Ladies Quilt Group" from the Community Alliance Church in Detroit Lakes; Austen Schauer, Dr. Paul Wright, Mary Ann Devig, Tom Dowell, Sr., Kim Kaul, Lois Ustanko, Sterling Volla, Mary Lou Dahms, Kevin Wallevand, BlackRidge Bank, the media who covered the event-WDAY, The Forum, KVLY and KFGO; and all those who volunteered at the event.
We are now eagerly looking forward to starting our regularly scheduled social gatherings which will be held three times per month beginning Saturday, May 20, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Dakota Medical Foundation and Wednesday, May 24, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Fargo Cass Public Health. There, people experiencing memory loss and those walking beside them will have an opportunity to learn, make new friends and have fun with others who are traveling a similar journey in a friendly, welcoming, safe environment without fear of being labeled or judged.
If you would like to explore concerns you may have about your memory or someone close to you, please join us! Additional information can be found by visiting our Facebook page Memory Café of the Red River Valley, emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling Deb at 218-790-1218.
