I am writing in response to Jim Ebsen's Jan. 1 letter to the editor asking if anyone else remembered the Island Park toboggan slide.
I, too, remember the many times my brother Joe and I enjoyed it on extremely cold days. We would have to stand in line a long time and then climb the long wooden steps to the top to launch our toboggan. It was a thrill to ride down the long, curving slide.
I also remember the skating rink at Agassiz school. It had a warming house win an attendant.
These are fond memories of my childhood.
