The August 6th Forum included a story comparing the number of accidents and drug arrests at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally so far this year, compared to last year. There are many interesting, informative and positive things that could be written about the rally and its 79-year history. Sturgis is just a few miles from the Black Hills National Forest, one of the most beautiful areas of the country.

Total attendance at this year's rally was expected to be about 500,000, including motorcycle enthusiasts, campers, tourists and others from all walks of life. They come from all different parts of the country. It is an iconic event.
I went this year with some friends, and we all had a great time.
Why the negative press? Maybe it's because the media doesn't like or respect some of the people who attend the rally, their patriotism or their perceived political persuasion. Unfortunately, the left and the press are now joined at the hip. Never underestimate how insidious they can be.
