When voting “No” on a single Article of Impeachment against the current president who recently invited, incited, and fully encouraged a deadly mob attack on the occupants of the Capitol building while the joint Congress was performing Constitutional functions, North Dakota’s lone representative, Kelly Armstrong, argued he would be voting as his home state wanted.

I want to believe my North Dakota, one of 50 states guided and guarded by the Constitution of these United States, would have voted to impeach, and in the process, joined Team Democracy, not Team Insurrection!

Armstrong failed his Constitution test; our nation can only hope that Sens. Hoeven and Cramer do not again fail to do what is required to protect our democracy against a pretentious autocrat - conviction of Trump in a Senate trial, and elimination of him holding future office. Only then will we be safe from Trump, and in the process, we will take a large step towards elimination of his taint.
