Recently Amazon quit streaming "Created Equal," a documentary by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. No surprise it happened right after his dissent of the Pennsylvania election case.
Justice Alito also dissented and Justice Gorsuch agreed. (This is another topic for a different letter). Thomas, the only Black member of the Supreme Court, was canceled during Black History Month. How ironic.
We've all heard the recent Dr. Seuss controversy and how six titles are no longer being published because of racist imagery. Amazon chose not to sell these titles as well and states they will sell no publication that promotes hate speech. Who over there determines hate speech? You can still purchase "Mein Kampf" and the "Communist Manifesto" through Amazon.
For those of you not familiar with the work, Adolf Hitler is the author. Is there no end to the idiocy? What"s next? Mr. Roger's Neighborhood because we show respect and call him mister instead of Fred? Come on, Amazon and the rest of the country, what truly is racism? Dr. Seuss or Adolf Hitler?
