There were no calls for an investigation into the Bidens until Joe Biden threw his hat in the ring. President Trump thinks Ukraine is corrupt, yet he wanted them to announce an investigation into the Bidens. They didn’t have to actually do an investigation, just announce one so Trump can get those at his rallies to scream, “lock them up.”
Trump released a call summary stating that he asked Ukrainian President Zelensky for a “favor.” Mick Mulvaney, acting chief of staff, told us in a presser that we should “get over it.” Ambassador Sondland testified that there was quid pro quo. We hear testimony that our national interests are discussed on phones and apps that aren’t secure. Wasn’t national security the reason Trump wanted Hillary Clinton locked up?
Ambassador Yovanovitch is recalled from Ukraine because Trump’s actions put her safety at risk. The American president put a woman who has spent her career serving her adopted nation at risk. The army has stepped up its protection of Lt Colonel Vindman, a decorated army officer. The commander in chief has put the safety of career army officer at risk. That is so chilling that it bears repeating, the commander in chief has put the safety of a decorated, career army officer at risk. That alone makes him unfit for the office he occupies. Since he can’t single out all of us who oppose him for attack, he calls us “human scum.” Trump is acting like a mob boss who knows the G men are closing in on the bodies that he’s buried.
Trump supporters had no issue with Trump stating that we should shoot refugees, putting children in cages, bragging about sexually assaulting women, etc. Fiona Hill confirmed what our intelligence agencies have said that Russia is a threat to our nation. Trump is using Russian talking points. He won’t tell us what he discusses with President Putin, even though he is supposed to serve the American people. If you don’t have an issue with Trump’s actions, ask yourself if you honestly would be OK with a President Hillary Clinton doing these things.
We are at a critical point in our history and our elected officials in Washington seem to be only interested in keeping in Trump’s good graces. Sens. Hoeven and Cramer, and Rep. Kelly: Are you going to betray our country and become a “fellow traveler” in your blind loyalty to Trump? Have you no sense of decency, sirs?
