In her response to my letter to the editor, Marlene Boyer suggests “ Let's look at the facts .”
Indeed, let's look at the facts: The consensus on the internet (her source, not mine) is that Donald Trump lost the popular vote by approximately 2.9 million votes, not 1.5 million votes (Marilyn's “alternative fact”). Can the rest of Marilyn's “facts” be trusted?
If we believe in facts, the majority (by nearly 3 million votes) oppose the president. Because the Electoral College put him in office does not change the fact that the majority of U.S. voters oppose the president.
The value of the Electoral College is a debate for another day. Check your facts, sis.
