I just read recently about North Dakota State University's football coach, Chris Klieman , accepting a job as head football coach at Kansas State University. The article goes on to say that Klieman will be paid nearly $16.9 million over a six-year period, including $88,400 for the remainder of 2018 at NDSU, plus perks and bonuses, just to coach a football team?
Something is terribly, terribly wrong here. Where are the priorities? Colleges and universities are supposed to be a tool to prepare our young people to function in a complex world. Instead, they have become a tool to indoctrinate our young people into Marxist Socialism, which they in turn are passing on to our children.
Where are they getting the money from? You guessed it--you and I as taxpayers. Our own state legislature throws gobs and gobs of money at higher education, and they always want more.
We, the taxpayers, have to have control of the money supply. Paying a man that much money just to coach a ball game is sending a very wrong message to our country, especially our youth. Of what value is it to be a good football player after one graduates and get out into the real world and lacks necessary skills in whatever profession they pursue?
They think if our country becomes a socialist state, our government will give them a free handout for the rest of their lives. This country needs to re-establish its priorities. No way is it justifiable to pay anybody that kind of money just to coach a ball team. After all, it’s just a game.

From a North Dakota conservative perspective, I say good riddance to Klieman. It’s all about money.
