Jim Shaw's column published Sept. 7 suggested removing the salary cap as one of the ways to fix Social Security. I have thought this was an obvious way to start fixing it for several years and was happy to see it in print.
I believe we should all get behind this. Maybe if people send letters to AARP they would use their influence to push it in Congress?
