Letter: I have faith in President Trump's ability and mental capacity

Please allow me to respond to a Jan. 2nd column comparing a football coach and the president of the United States by James Ferragut. He's is entitled to his opinion and comments, so allow me to do the same.

I've know James for many years through business and advertising dealings. I am fully aware of his prowess and expertise in the field of media, etc. I'v always known James to to be fair minded and equally appealing to both sides. What I do not understand is how one can compare a football coach to the president.

The football coach-who I have an enormous respect for and wish him well in his new venture-guides 11 players up and down the field of 100 yards in a timed situation.

The president has four years to correct and lead a civilization of over 300 million citizens who depend on him to perform at a much higher level than FCS football. Both require a high level of thinking and decision making.

I am so sick and tired of all the rhetoric about his ability and mental capacity. Would you rather have the Clinton or Obama crooks running the country? I think not. I served this country in the military and have never used that position to voice my opinion. I served and I came home. I'm suffering today with Agent Orange that I got serving in Vietnam. No excuses as it is what it is.

I'm just one person, but I support President Trump. The majority of voters say they will vote for him again. I'm not worried about Pocahontas in the least or any one else who comes along. I truly hope 50 or 60 Democrats run in 2020.
