I’m writing in praise of the Fargo Veterans Affairs hospital and clinic. Let me begin by saying I’m no hero and I did not retire with a particularly high rank. Those facts did not stop the Fargo VA from treating me with excellence and compassion.
I recently went in for a total hip replacement. From the first appointment to my discharge, from the hospital to my rehab at home, everyone treated me with utmost respect and care. Let me make that clear: Every single person I came in contact treated me as if I were important to them. This even includes the people who brought me my meals and removed the trash from my room. Everyone. I never felt I was being treated as just another patient. I was more of a valued family member to everyone there.
Everyone in the area should be proud to have such a fine, caring facility treating veterans in such an exemplary manner.
