Letter: It's time for North Dakota Dems to show what leadership looks like

How about the leaders of the Dem NPL speak loud and clear for closing the state down for a few weeks, explain wearing a mask isn’t a political statement but a civic duty and social distancing isn’t a socialist plot to deny Trump a third term.

Gov. Doug Burgum has failed miserably at protecting North Dakotans from COVID.

Pretty much the whole world agrees with that statement, literally.

So, what’s our option?

The North Dakota Democratic NPL Party?

Yes, that’s my choice.

But, what does my party propose to get a grip on the COVID crisis?

Certainly, it is not to do what Burgum has done, which is nothing.

So how about the leaders of the Dem NPL speak loud and clear for closing the state down for a few weeks, explain wearing a mask isn’t a political statement but a civic duty and social distancing isn’t a socialist plot to deny Trump a third term.

That could help, despite their obvious minority status.

At least they should try.
