Letter: Legislature's book bans akin to Nazi Germany's book-burnings

"Aren’t there more pressing issues that could be addressed?" LaMoure, N.D. resident Rod Lammer wonders.

Letter to the editor FSA

When I read — with astonishment — that our elected officials are spending their limited time in Bismarck on what people may or may not read, I am reminded of the Nazi book-burnings that so outraged citizens of the United States. We saw it, and correctly so, as censorship.

Do you see any comparison? I certainly do.

Aren’t there more pressing issues that could be addressed?

Come on people. Act like you belong in Bismarck.

Rod Lammer is a resident of LaMoure, N.D.
