About 18 months ago I returned to my hometown to bury the last of my siblings. After the committal, I was asked by some of my kids and grandchildren to show them where our relatives are at their final rest. This is what I showed them: All three of my brothers, their grandfather, four of their uncles, and many, many cousins. All were veterans. Their grandfather was 100% disabled from his service during World War I. All gave some and my oldest brother, Mike, gave all.
Today it came to me if our three elected followers, or acolytes as I call them, were to go Arlington National Cemetery and listen really hard to the departed veterans, I think they would tell them to kneel down and put country before President Trump. They would tell them they were elected to serve us, not Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. Not of the country so many fought and died for. At least they owe them and us the truth. No more, no less.
