In response to the letter to the editor in Tuesday's paper Jan. 14, I would like to commend the individual who brought to the attention of the readers those who make light of their hangovers with humorous antidotes and the pure disregard of the impact of the "morning-after."
There is a very reasonable explanation for this and it is called "euphoric-recall," remembering only the highlights of a former nights indulgences ... because nobody wants to remember the kneeling at the throne in the morning or a host of other ill effects that alcohol consumption brings to the individual when the participation ends. And a very good one is ... "I'll never do it again ..." or "I'll quit ... tomorrow?"
