After attending a portion of a meeting, the best location for a new library in downtown Fargo would be to extend from the present location. Union Storage is in a lousy location - too far from the downtown and how many are going to fall out of the Nestor into the Library? So much concern about druggies near schools, I don't think libraries by bars are realistic either.
Anyone who saw the plan for the extension of the current downtown facility would be impressed - a very attractive and user friendly idea and parking is addressed.
The public should realize that new isn't always better. There is a lot of life left in the current building.
