In regards to the cut in funding to the Moorhead Public Library causing it to close on Sunday afternoons:
A recent visit has shown it to be widely used by many people, including children, who might not otherwise have access to reading materials.
Sunday is an important family day: one of two days when a working parent can take their child during the day.
The library provides a free service to all people. I feel the city should fund free cultural/educational benefits for all rather than subsidize our golf courses which are used by a few who already have paid a fee.
The decision to cut funding has a negative effect on our families and community and points to a lack of priorities in these matters.
