So President Bush lied. It wasn't the first time. It won't be the last. Don't waste time on hearings. What we need right now is a plan to establish security and provide basic services in Iraq and Afghanistan. We owe it to these nations to help them become healthy, prosperous, and independent. You break it; you own it.
Our administration not only refused to recognize the difficulty of restoring security but antagonized the nations best able to help us. Insisting on "Invasion-Lite" was gross incompetence.
