I am astonished and outraged at the picture you chose to show on your Web site Jan. 14. Regardless of the type of lifestyle this man led, he still deserves dignity. Why don't you show him that?
I have a better idea. Why didn't your photographer get right up to his face and show the trauma that you so clearly described? By quoting the officer, the public immediately feels less remorse for the "guy who drank and was homeless anyway." Why didn't your story just say that instead of saying it in a roundabout way?
I do not think that I have ever been so outraged about what your paper has chosen to print. What if that was your family member, lying there in the bitter cold, dead? I bet you would not want their picture plastered about the papers.
I am going to make sure I tell every single person I know how disgusting and awful it is and what The Forum has done to that man's integrity. How dare you.
