I would like to express my opinion on Fargo Public Schools making the decision to cancel all out of town activities Jan. 18-19 due to the cold.
We live in North Dakota where the temperature does drop below zero. There was no blowing snow, icy roads or weather conditions. Schools in Wahpeton, N.D., sent their athletes on the road to Fargo; Grand Forks, N.D., sent their athletes on the road to Fargo and Minot, N.D. West Fargo also sent their athletes out of town. Obviously the administration in these districts don't care about their students?
Fargo Public Schools did allow the wrestlers to travel, and the music students also traveled to Grand Forks for honor band and choir.
Activities called off because of cold? Kind of ridiculous in a state where it is cold. Bad call.
