How refreshing to learn that North Dakota is not a red state. Just as I was becoming increasingly concerned about our country's future at the hands of the conservative Republican majority, Mark Otnes' letter to the editor (July 9 "Vile nonsense from liberal Democrats") informed me that North Dakotans do more than any other Americans to support "Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, MoveOn.org," etc.
Too bad we couldn't have continued our leftist support to the presidential ballot. Maybe our future would look a little brighter.
