If anyone questions the current Fargo Park Board's commitment to youth (Forum article, May 19), they ought to visit a few of the venues providing swimming, golf, tennis, softball, baseball, etc., throughout the city of Fargo sometime this summer. Activity is buzzing and the youth are having a great time.
You also may want to check out the picnics sponsored by the Park Board at the end of some of the sessions. They are well attended and much appreciated by the kids.
I think Fargo's parks are very well maintained and offer numerous opportunities for everyone to enjoy. This is the result of a conscientious board and park staff dedicated to serving all citizens of Fargo.
I am a little weary voting for any single-issue candidate for a seat on board which vision and commitment are so important. The Park Board's incumbent candidates possess the positive qualities needed to lead our city's park system.
