I was much dismayed to see the distasteful articles in the paper on Sunday, June 12, and Monday, June 13.

What a blast of insensitivity faced young people and older who may have seen those articles! What kind of message does this send them, or anyone for that matter?

Surely you don't have to stoop to the level of smut magazines, such as "People" and worse. I am sure our former editor would have refrained from such tactics just to have a big story. Surely there are better things going on in this area that would be uplifting to readers.

Who cares what goes on in a gay man's life day to day? Or woman. I am not one to throw rocks at such people even though morally wrong, as God does the judging, but I do not agree that their lives should be displayed all over the paper - for two days, front and center. This is like dredging up "old" news to take up space you could not find for something wholesome.

Everyone knows we have gays around and they should be able to live in peace, but their lifestyle should not be opened up for all to see as if it were a normal healthy way to live. This gives innocent and weak people the sense that maybe it is not so bad after all. And then we pay a very high price for opening Pandora's box.

I am ashamed of your very un-newsworthy articles. I am thinking your paper is not worth reading and may cancel my subscription.
